Klika operates an intensive two-month internship program designed to bridge the gap between academic theory and professional software engineering. Each cycle, a select group of graduates is tasked with architecting and delivering a production-grade product from scratch. One of the program's most successful outputs is an internal employee reward platform. This application has since become a cornerstone of Klika’s "caring is sharing" culture, serving as the primary vehicle for peer-to-peer recognition and value-driven engagement across the organization.

The Solution

Klika’s interns, guided by senior mentors, spearheaded the end-to-end development of a gamified reward ecosystem. Our solution included:

• Automated Reward Engine: Engineered a specialized backend logic that automatically distributes 50 virtual coins to every employee at the start of each month, reset via scheduled cron jobs.

• Slack-First Integration: Built a robust integration using Bolt.js, allowing employees to reward colleagues directly within their primary communication workspace.

• Native Mobile Architecture: Developed high-performance iOS and Android applications using Swift and Kotlin to ensure a premium experience for mobile-first users.

• Value-Based Recognition: Integrated specialized tagging features (e.g., #giveback, #beafriend) to ensure recognition was directly aligned with core corporate values.
